In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to calibrate the IMU of your DJI Mavic 2 Pro and/or Mavic 2 Zoom.
Before you start, you’ll need to ensure the following:
- You have download and installed the latest version of DJI GO 4 app in the App Store or Google Play on your smartphone.
- Your Mavic 2 battery level is higher than 50%.
Firstly, you will need to turn on the remote controller and connect it with your smartphone:
Then place your Mavic 2 aircraft (folded) on a flat surface:
Uplift advise you to remove the propellers when completing the IMU calibration process.
Once in position, turn on your drone and launch the DJI GO 4 app:
Once you’ve entered the app interface, click on the ‘General Settings’ menu (three horizontal white dots) in the top right corner of your screen:
Once there, click into the ‘Flight Controller Settings’ (1) and then click ‘Advanced Settings’ (2):
In the Advanced Settings, scroll down and click ‘Sensors’:
Next, click ‘Calibrate IMU’:
You will now need to follow the GO 4 app positioning instructions carefully; the IMU calibration will fail if the positions are incorrect. Also, we advise you do not attempt to start the motor during the calibration process.
There are five different positions:
Once you have gone through all of the correct positioning steps, the GO 4 app will notify you that the IMU Calibrations is complete and you can restart your aircraft:
